Abstract :
Farm land waste water is one of the main sources of nonpoint pollution, and BMPs is an effective technology. The characteristics of farm land wastewater are described in this paper. In Poyang watershed a series of Best Management practices (BMPs) are designed, including grass buffer strip, ditch, fishpond, facultative pond and constructed wetland. The results show that BMPs play a part for SS, BOD5, COD, nitric nitrogen, TN, TP, DTP, esp. for TN and nitric nitrogen. It concludes that the BMPs system can effectively remove agricultural non-point pollutions.
