Abstract :
Detection of chlorophyll a is important in the protection of marine ecosystem. This paper focused on designing and developing a high-sensitivity, low-power instrument (Named HME Chlometer) for chlorophyll a measurements. Chlorophyll a samples of different concentration were measured, using HME Chlometer and Seapoint Chlorophyll Fluorometer for comparison, and the result showed HME Chlometer was of high sensitivity, great stability, and excellent linearity. And it was able to work well in seawater for at least 6 months.
