Abstract
The operation of linear induction motors (LIM) with the symmetrical inductor windings and the symmetrical supplying voltage systems, is accompanied by the phase currents asymmetry, which causes the uneven distribution of magnetic flux and driving force along the air gap, which is related to the limited length of the magnetic core of inductor and to the input of the secondary element contours into the area of air gap and output from it, that have a considerable effect on the motor characteristics. The report contains a mathematical model of LIM based on the common electromechanical conversion theory with the consideration of the real phase coils arrangement along the inductor and secondary element.
