Abstract
This paper, presents the Taguchi´s method for the synthesis and design of antenna arrays with periodic element spacing. The objectives of this work are to minimize the maximum side lobe level (SLL) and perform null steering for isotropic linear antenna arrays parameter by controlling only amplitude parameter of the array elements. The yagi antenna arrays (16 elements) were designed using the proposed method, their array factors were plotted, and estimates of their directivity. The method proved to be a low-cost one, flexible, and easy to learn with accurate results.
