Abstract :
The integration of a fish-vegetable co-existing system was conducted to treat the shrimp agriculture wastewater in this paper. The silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix) and the vegetables, Ipomoea aqutica, Oenanthe javanica, Lactuca sativa and Brassica pekinensis were cultured respectively in pools for 7 days. The results showed that fish (1.00 kg/m3 silver carp)-vegetable (1.00 kg/m2 Ipomoea aqutica) co-existing system was an optimal one in this experiment. It is suggested that fish-vegetable co-existing system could be a practical system to be used to reduce pollution from shrimp agriculture wastewater.
