Abstract :
The eddy losses of coils and spider arms under the harmonic magnetic field for the high voltage dry-type smoothing reactor (HVDTSR) are analyzed in this paper. The expression of coils losses is deduced by using 2-D analytical magnetic field expression and coils losses are calculated by FORTRAN program. The spider arms´ losses are simulated with ANSYS software. The losses of coils and spider arms in the total losses can be calculated and separated. The results obtained in this paper give guidings for the design of the reactors, and make the design more economical.
