Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a novel iterative algorithm for joint fading compensation and turbo decoding for binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) signaling over unknown Rayleigh fading channels. The proposed algorithm is based on a modified turbo decoding metric which includes the uncertainty of the fading estimate. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly outperform conventional algorithms over Rayleigh fading channels.
