Abstract :
Induction motors are widely used as traction motors of railway vehicles. Improving the efficiency of the induction motors is very important to save energy in railway operation. In this paper, we propose a new rotor design that can reduce the harmonic secondary copper loss in the traction motors and improve the efficiency of them.
