Abstract
BTRON (business TRON) specifications adopt a model, called the real/virtual object model, in the overall OS concept. This real/virtual object model is used as a data model for the file system and data exchange format, and is also applied to the operating environment and the environment for executing programs. This papers notes the information management model in BTRON specification, the status of the specifications being developed in the BTRON sub-project, outlines the course of development and looks ahead to the future outlook of the BTRON specifications
