Abstract
The CTRON Technical Committee is now conducting a software portability experiment in order to evaluate portability of software products with CTRON interfaces. In a CTRON portability test center, participants of the experiment would port their CTRON products to the basic systems developed by others company. In the experiment, the authors have already ported three products which service CTRON general file management interfaces, and then they have been evaluating general file management interfaces with a point of view on portability. They show the analysis of the problems detected by the experiments and the solutions for them. Then, they discuss the common portability impediments with porting CTRON general file management products. Finally, they mention the problems on porting programs which depend on general file management file system format
