Abstract :
Iron losses generated in PM machines can be estimated by the coupling analysis between magnetic filed simulator and control simulator. The iron losses at various operating conditions are calculated by the coupling analysis system and compared with measured losses. Those results show that the coupling analysis system can estimate the iron losses of PM machines and is useful for design of machine control.
