Abstract
This paper analyzes an improved magnetic circuit in interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSM). It shows that this magnetic circuit can provide approximate sinusoidal waveforms of air-gap flux densities. Based on analysis of magnetic circuit model, the effect of magnet shape for flux densities has been studied. The Fourier transformation (FT) and finite element numerical method (FEM) is adopted to verify the design of an IPMSM.
