Abstract :
Music plays a crucial role in the whole society. In our life, a number of students are used listening to music while doing homework or other task, such as driving. There were a lot of studies investigating the effect of background music on learning, but most focus on the style of absolutely music. Our research was intended to study the effect of familiarity of Background Music lyric on learning, especially on Memory. And it is supposed that background music has a great impact on memory task performance. The negative effects from large to small are: very familiar, a little familiar, and totally unfamiliar. Moreover, we expected that the difficulty of the tasks also influence the memory task performance.
