  • Abstract
"Convolution of the control strategy" a new method that combines the use of genetic algorithm (GA) and convolution integral to optimize a general control force strategy that minimizes the response of the oscillatory systems subjected to an arbitrary excitation. Genetic algorithm is used to optimize a control strategy against shock input, and then convolution integral is used to obtain a general control force strategy against arbitrary excitation by shifting, scaling and summation of the optimized control strategy. Numerical tests are carried out on a two-degree of freedom quarter-vehicle model. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of using the proposed method for active suspension systems. In addition, it presents that the new method can achieve a real time control of systems subjected to an arbitrary excitation.
