Abstract :
This paper presents a new control method for suppression of output voltage transients during step load changes in single-phase power-factor-correction rectifiers. In this method, two controllers are used in voltage control loop, the first controller, i.e. \´\´main controller" regulates the DC component of output voltage according to the reference value during steady state condition and the second one, i.e. "auxiliary controller" detects and compensates step load changes. The simulation results of proposed controller on a universal-input flyback based PFC rectifier show excellent operation in both steady state and transient conditions
