Abstract
The AUV research program at Florida Atlantic University (USA) has focused its design efforts on battery powered AUVs, developing both the battery packs and power distribution systems that provide a robust energy system for the AUV. This paper focuses on the development of our energy systems on their 3 AUVs (Ocean Voyager II, Ocean Explorer and Morpheus) in terms of battery pack arrangements and power distribution systems.
