Abstract
The pulse density modulation (PDM) has been applied to resonant inverters because it maintains soft-switching. In this paper we established a control strategy for an AC/AC converter to control the load power and optimize the power factor of the current drawn from the AC-supply. In order to obtain an online optimization, genetic algorithm which is a direct calculation method is applied to find the global optimal. The GA algorithm is used to perform the optimal power factor. In this paper, we propose and discuss some suggestions to improve GA results
