Abstract :
A computationally efficient algorithm for decoding an 8-chip complementary code sequence using fast Walsh transform (FWT) technique is presented. The reduction in computation is achieved by exploiting the redundant nature of a set of 4 outputs at the 3/sup rd/ stage of FWT computed from the same pair of 2/sup nd/ stage outputs, the redundancy being with respect to their squared magnitudes. The advantages of the algorithm are discussed with respect to a hardware implementation.
