Abstract :
The electrical engineering (EE) faculty at Rochester Institute of Technology decided to attack the problem of attrition by means of a one-credit course titled Freshman Seminar in EE. this course seeks to help freshmen get to know each other better by meeting them in small groups in order to build a mutually supporting environment that will help them succeed at the Institute. It is also designed to discuss the resources available at the Institute to help them. It is also seeks to present them with examples of engineering design done by seniors in the EE program and to improve their computer literacy, and to discuss the importance of time management
