Abstract
A common question is whether Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a fad or whether it is here to stay. One possibility is that its day will soon pass, and that it will join the ranks of other potential silver bullets. Another possibility is that SOA is here to stay because it has become a feasible approach to software development that enables the construction of collaborating business applications distributed within and across organizational boundaries. This panel presents divergent views on the past, present and future of SOA.
