Abstract :
This paper presents a brief survey of current perspectives in Japan on international negotiation held by Japanese professionals who publish books and offer professional training materials on the topic. It then briefly critiques these views and identifies problematic instruction that may actually hinder successful international negotiation rather than facilitate it.
