Abstract :
Scanning pyroelectric microscopy (SPEM) has successfully been applied to study spatial polarisation distributions in channel-type inclusion crystals and zeolite based host-guest systems, which show macroscopic polarity as the result of polar growth or oriented sorption of hyperpolarisable molecules.
