Abstract :
A group of polymers whose molecular chain consists of chiral molecules that form a helical structure has recently become of major interest. For example, chiral polymers exhibit shear piezoelectricity. The complex electrically controlled motion of chiral polymer fiber, poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) fiber, due to its piezoelectricity was realized, as reported in this paper.
