Abstract :
The paper describes some methods for the evaluation of magneto-optical layers using image processing. The experimental methods used for writing and erasing the magneto-optical domains (MODs) are presented and the optical set-up is also shown for investigating the MODs and the image acquisition. The parameters of interest for the MODs (ellipticity, contrast, shape, dimensions, erasure percentage) are computed using the acquired image files. The results are given in data tables and in graphic presentations
