  • Abstract
This paper develops a remeshing module to generate valid meshes for FEM in the application of Fluorescence Tomography Reconstruction (FTR), and it is constructed based on a mouse atlas (Digimouse). To our knowledge, few of the recent mesh models have been employed in the area of FTR. In our algorithm, the tetrahedron collapse and refinement operations are applied successively to increase mesh quality and density. Only a fraction of the mesh is loaded for tomography reconstruction to reduce memory consumption and computation burden. We show that the algorithm preserves the mesh quality while increasing the density of points.
