Abstract :
Visual communication has aroused great research interest due to the prevalence of computer technology. Researches on intercultural communication indicate that diversified visual communication is shaped by cultures. To achieve the best effects in intercultural communications, it is important to understand the differences of the visual communication between different cultures. Based on an empirical study of the automotive literatures between China and Germany, the differences on the characteristic of technical illustration related to the text-graphic relationship are identified and the cultural background is explored.
