Abstract :
The optical proprieties of the silicon glasses doped by ion-plasma of rare earth elements were obtained with vacuum technologies. Researched the main parameters of the optic fiber amplifiers like EDFA and TDFA. The signals at independent sub-bands are combined and flattened before output, resulting in a broadband gain- flattened optical amplifier with 120 nm bandwidth. The aluminate glasses as the active material in a thulium-doped fiber amplifier (TDFA) was investigated. The results demonstrated that Mg-stabilized CaBa aluminate glasses have greater resistance to devitrification and, as such, are promising host glasses for EDFA and TDFA.
