Abstract
An analysis of a broad wall slot coupler between two crossed rectangular waveguides using the FDTD method is presented in this paper. Two types of slot, a longitudinal/transverse slot and a centered-inclined slot, are analyzed. Coupling slot characteristics are obtained, including scattering parameters and the resonant length in different waveguide dimensions and frequencies. A type of coupler system with a short circuit port is also analyzed.
