Abstract :
The Nuclear Center of VALDUC (Cote d´Or) operates two reactors for hardening studies of electronics. The PROSPERO and CALIBAN reactors are fast fission neutron sources, the former in a steady-state mode, the latter in a pulsed mode. These two critical assemblies use solid uranium 235. The operating characteristics of the reactors and fluence data are given. Recent neutron spectrum determination around PROSPERO allows the authors to specify on different locations the neutron fluences (1-MeV equivalent for silicon) from measurements performed on activation detectors
