Abstract :
This study proposes a new method to extract oscillometric pulses for noninvasive blood pressure measurement using empirical mode decomposition, based on the oscillometric method. The mean and standard deviation of the present method in systolic and diastolic pressure are 1.6 and 5.2, and 0.7 and 5.2, respectively, which not only passes the AAMI (Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation) and EN (European Norm) blood pressure measurement criteria, but also performs more accurate measurements than commercial noninvasive blood pressure measurement devices.
