Abstract
In this work, we propose a novel approach to adjust a dielectric constant using a magnetically aligned anisotropic conductive epoxy for microwave systems. The purpose of this approach is to produce large adjustability of dielectric constants by controlling the orientation of conductive particles using a magnetic technique in a viscous medium. In the experiment, we demonstrated that the dielectric constant of the material was adjusted from 4.7 to 10.8 and the Q ranges from 34 to 182 at 300 MHz depending on the intensity of a magnetic field. Due to the simplicity of this material, this technique for adjusting dielectric constant is expected to be able to be used to implement the high-Q capacitor for integrated microwave systems
