  • Abstract
In this paper, finite element simulation software of Flux is utilized to analysis the induction heating process of ferromagnetic billets. Numerical models of electromagnetic, temperature and physical parameters of materials which have non-linear function with magnetic field intensity and temperature are proposed. Accurate solutions for electromagnetic and temperature are achieved. To test the reliability of the simulated results, a platform for examining the induction heating process of ferromagnetic billets is established, and the temperature rise curves at several points of a billet is gained. Moreover, the experimental curves are analyzed, which shows good coincidence with the simulated results. To sum up, this work offers an important method for further research of the induction heating process, by importing the influence of magnetic field intensity on the ferromagnetic property.
