Abstract
The research trend in future years will be oriented towards the development of integrated systems, which collect information for the forecasting and detection of high intensity rain for a given region. This information generally comes from various sensors. The work presented in this paper is based on differently sensed satellite data. All satellite data images are geometrically geolocated by both solving the actual orbit equations and by the means of polynomial maps and ground control points
