Abstract :
Through changing the equivalence relation to the similar relation in incomplete information system, a new variable precision rough set model and an approach for knowledge reduction are proposed. The basic properties of lower and upper approximation operators are also investigated. Finally, the example proves that the new variable precision rough set model can effectively reduct database, roundly wide application range of the VPRS, and fully maintain information for database in incomplete information system.
