Abstract :
The transient electric fields caused by contact discharge in the IEC61000-4-2 standard set-up are measured using a broadband loaded V-antenna. The results show that: the spectrum of the radiated fields are not influenced by discharge voltage and polarity, but the longer distance away the discharge point is, the shorter bandwidth of spectrum is. The electric fields are different from the grounding point and the discharge point when discharging to horizontal coupling plane (HCP).
