Abstract :
For the increasing requirement of multimedia services in wireless networks, the dynamic reservation slotted multi-code medium access control protocol (MAC) is considered. The MAC is a kind of slotted, frame-based protocol with dynamic reservation and multi-code transmissions in a slot. An OPNET-based discrete event modeling and simulation method is developed to assess the uplink performance of the throughput in a cell. Better system performance can be achieved with dynamic reservation multi-code, according to the offered traffic load.
