Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the effect of microwave oven (MWO) interference that severely degrades the performance of digital radio communication systems. At first, we study the statistical characteristics of MWO interference by analyzing the measurements. Then we propose an improved simulation method by which interference data can be acquired with the statistical characteristics similar to MWO interference. Finally, our simulation results are applied to discuss the receiving techniques for improving the performance of DS/CDMA systems under MWO interference environment.
