Abstract :
The diversity of graphics models in the electric utility software environment leads to much duplicative work and impede information sharing greatly. Although two Graphics exchange approach have been put forward by CCAPI, there still are some problem needs to be solved. This paper presents a graphics centric interoperation approach based on ontology to solve the problem of establishing contact between the graphics element and the CIM object in CCAPI graphics centric exchange approach. It can enhance the horizontal association and semantic restriction of electrical model; associate the graphics element and electrical model together by building application ontology in each heterogeneous application. The graphics interoperation can be changed into the mapping between application ontology, so that the multiple graphics display and information sharing can be realized efficiently.
