Abstract
The introduction of the new technology of collaborative work (groupware) by banks, evolve the hierarchical organizational structure to the collaborative and transverse work. Based on the theory of resources applied to ICT, the Groupware (as a technological resource) is involved in the development of knowledge management. From an exploratory study carried out in (2012) in three Tunisian banks with mixed capital, we attempted to study the role of groupware in the knowledge management process. The obtained results allowed us to highlight that the only use of collaborative tools work (Groupware) is not enough for a group to disseminate and share their professional knowledge. In fact, the real challenges of collaborative work here are more social and cultural rather than technological.
