Abstract :
This paper describes the generation, interchange, and load information system (GILIS) developed by Alberta Power Limited (APL). GILIS is a computer-based database management system that manages the data collected through APL´s automated data acquisition systems. This data represents the hourly metered energy flow at all generation and interchange points within the APL service area
