Abstract :
In this paper we present an original solution based on bulk elements to demonstrate a compact UV source operating at 1 MHz with sub-nanosecond pulses: we first demonstrate a compact frequency tripled passively Q-switched amplified microchip Nd:YVO4 laser providing 355 nm radiation, and we also present a PPLN-based optical parametric generator to reach broad tunability in the red, and route to 23 nm tunability in the ultraviolet around 330 nm.
