Abstract :
Current developments in power control research in cellular mobile systems are described. Typical algorithms including centralized PCA and distributed PCA are illustrated and analyzed. At the same time, the algorithms for multi-rate or multimedia wireless systems are discussed. The impact on the system performance of power control is then analyzed. Further work on power control algorithms for third generation cellular mobile system are presented.
