Abstract :
In this paper, the performance of interface systems between alternative energy sources and utilities is studied. The interface block uses a GTO voltage source inverter with fixed PWM pattern control. By adjusting the modulation index and the delay angle of the PWM pattern, the real and reactive power to the utilities can be controlled independently. The control scheme is implemented on a TMS320C30 digital signal processor and experimental results from a 1 kVA prototype are provided for verification
