Abstract :
Deformation is one of the most important monitoring variables for concrete dams and widely used in dam safety monitoring. Based on standard particle swarm optimization method (SPSO), this paper presents a modified particle swarm optimization method (PSO-ASIN) using the inertia weight strategy of arcsine function. By applying PSO-ASIN to the multiple regression statistical function, this paper establishes a deformation monitoring model for concrete dams and brings this model into an engineering example. The results show that PSO-ASIN remarkably improves the algorithm performance as well as the prediction accuracy of the deformation monitoring model for concrete dams compared to the traditional least square method (LSM) and SPSO.
