Abstract :
Magda first suggested up-conversion pumped 1.6-μm Pr+3:LaCl3 for laser propulsion. Demonstrated Pr+3:LaCl3 lasing at 1.6 μm was up-conversion pumped by a pulsed 2.02-μm Tm:YAG laser.
