Abstract

This paper deals with a new proposal of Efficient Soft Handover Management in the context of 3rd generation mobile communication system. Our proposed system architecture will give network coverage to a Mobile Terminal (MT) everywhere on the earth, integrating Terrestrial UMTS (T-UMTS) and Satellite UMTS (S-UMTS). For integrated Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS) architecture and Our designed network shows a newer concept that uses Global Positioning System (GPS) and Inter Satellite Link (ISL) between Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites.
