Abstract :
In this paper, we report high-power blue light generation from a periodically polled MgO:LN ridge-type waveguide using a diode end-pumped Nd:YAG laser operating at 946 nm as a fundamental source. Blue-light CW generation of 147 mW for a coupled power at 946 nm of ∼418 mW was obtained.This output power at 473 nm of 147 mW obtained, indicates the potential for high-power SHG laser of the ridge-type waveguide fabricated by ultra-precision machining.
