Abstract :
This paper proposes a grid platform scheme using which any user can use the existing tools or deploy their own software to the platform simply. As an actual implementation, the National Platform Project of China (NPPC) is constructed. As one part of NPPC, our sub-platform is constructed and several software tools have been developed and deployed on the platform successfully. The construction requirements, detailed deployment process, bioinformatics software instances and the extensive performance evaluations are presented.
