Abstract :
Most Salmonella are considered human pathogens. Meat and chicken transmit this bacterium. Since there is a possibility for transmitting the bacteria by labor instruments and storage area of meat/chicken stores, this research has been performed. To accomplish this, after sampling, samples were cultured on suitable media and identified and finally serology tests were performed. The result showed 2.08% infection of meat/chicken stores with Salmonella. The rate of infection in chicken and meat stores was 3.12%, 1.20% respectively. Apart Salmonella, other bacteria were also isolated. All data was analyzed by statistical software, SPSS, and x2 (chi-square) test, and significant difference (P¿0.05) between isolated bacteria (P=0.000) and different varieties of samples( P=0.005) was observed. This survey showed infection could be transmitted from labor instruments and storage areas of infected meat and chicken to healthy ones. The infection salmonella percentage is not high which shows a proper hygiene. By improving animals breeding and proper providing foods as well as following hygienic standards, incidence risk with Salmonellosis will be decreased.
