Abstract :
This paper analyzes the design of electrostatic discharge (ESD) classification test circuit according to MIL STD-883E Method 3015.7. Simulations based on finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) are carried out to analyze the calibration current wave form. Satisfactory results are achieved in experiments and highlight that the analyses are reliable and effective. Analytical analyses based on transmission line theory gives the key design factors of ESD test circuit
